Today, the 23rd April, which is World Book Day and also St George's Day - the patron saint of England, Catalonia and Barcelona (where this picture is from). In Catalonia (north-east Spain), men receive books and women receive flowers. Do you think this is treating men and women fairly? Do you think that shows prejudice? My student Jayden said it sounds like it means men should study and women should just look pretty like flowers - and that isn't fair! What do you think about that? Can anyone tell me any stories about Saint George?
