Do you know why drones are named drones?

At first, england wanted to make a unmanned plane for scouting, Then, they made it but it wasn't used widely I was named the "queen bee". Then, U.S.A made another plane that was effective. Than, they decided to name it drone(male bee). It became staderized and the small drone we know was invented.
